In 2023, my remarkable mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a shocking moment. While advancements in medicine mean that cancer isn't always the same dire situation it once was, the journey was still incredibly tough. The fatigue, the endless rounds of medication, and the emotional toll were immense. My mom faced it all with remarkable courage, but it was a challenge. Witnessing her battle from the outside made me rethink my own approach to wellness overall. Starting with self-care, my bathroom vanity was loaded with products containing ridiculous amounts of unpronounceable and unrecognizable ingredients—as was my mother’s. It was clear that change was needed, and that’s when Cleme was born.
Cleme was born because friends and family support each other. Motivated by my mom’s strength and inspired by my grandmother Climmie, I embraced a back-to-basics approach to self-care. I wanted products that were not only beautiful on my vanity but also luxurious in their feel and effective in their results. My mom and I tested these products ourselves, and we loved them more than what we were using before—they worked better!
